Customer service at this 99 location is truly unmatched!! I ordered delivery via ubereats, not even via the 99 restaurants website, and when the delivery driver gave me another person’s order, I called the restaurant to see if my order was still there (it wasn’t). They not only made me a fresh order for pick up (for free!), they also gave me a gift card for my trouble and offered to contact uber on my behalf if I was having trouble getting a refund! I will reiterate that my original order was placed through a third party app, and the 99 still went above and beyond to give me a good experience FIFTEEN MINUTES BEFORE CLOSING. So many businesses would just say there’s nothing they can do. My only regret is not catching the name of the employee who helped me on the phone to shout him out specifically!

On a weeknight, it was quiet and comfortable with only a few other occupied tables. Popcorn and refreshers drinks were delicious, then the kind and delightfully chatty and funny waitress Jessica helped us with food recommendations! I feel lucky- apparently I got the last chicken al forno of the night! Definitely recommend it- It's warm and comforting and so cheesy!

My comments are partially based on the experience of others in our party, who have eaten here many times. It's a simple, unassuming place with lots of booths, lots of friends and families, and a large round bar in the middle with sports TVs. But it's not noisy or obnoxious. Best of all they have a good sized, very reasonably priced menu that covers everyone's likes. All of the usual casual dining suspects are available. But what really surprised me is that they do a very good job on fresh seafood and grilled meats. I enjoyed the best Strip Steak that I've had in years, at a very affordable price. Nice, but not fussy, presentations. Plenty of healthy vegetable and non-fried options. Quality dining, but without a stick up your derriere. And at half what they charge in Downtown Boston. Pleasant hosts, an efficient, friendly and informative server. And plenty of free parking out front. As I strolled through the restaurant, i heard a quiet murmur of contentment from the crowd. Nuff' said.

We went there as a family for dion a Friday. It is as good as any other 99 restaurant. The place was not crowded. The food is really good and the service was prompt and friendly. Chicken breast portions got smaller in the balsamic Chicken dish since we ordered it last year. The waiter confirmed that this was the case. Other than that, it is a good place for dinner.

Such a great experience tonight at the restaurant. From Brian who took a call ahead reservation for 8, to Daniel at the host desk greeting us had such great energy. They even put us in the back where we could talk, share stories, and not be overwhelmed by trivia in the bar, or the families up front, which worked out beautifully. Then Julie as a server did such a fantastic job checking on us and ensuring we had the food as we needed it. She was there, but not intrusive. She also set our expectations for such a busy night with candor. I felt we were well taken care of. Jared from the kitchen even came out with the menu filterable by allergies for one in our party who needed it. He was pleasant and addressed those needs fantastically. Thank you to the staff at this 99 restaurant for such a great evening, it made it worth the trip.

Had an amazing night! Thursday has the best appetizer deals when you sit at the bar. Service was great and the food was great. We really didn’t particularly like the Loaded Tots but the bartender quickly replaced it for something better. Great overall experience!

The food is great, every plate is very big. The waiter was very nice and the price is very nice to me! But the restaurant is a little bit noisy at dinner time.

I have to write on behalf of my disabled friends who go to this restaurant regularly. When they go out, they too often get annoyed and/or dismissive service, but EVERY time they go to the 99 restaurant in Waltham ... they get friendly, EXCEPTIONAL service. The food is consistently great (even when it’s busy and a little slower than usual), but the amazing part is how welcoming, supportive, and kind the servers are that work there. It clearly trickles down from the manager who role-models what it truly means to be a family restaurant. It makes me want to patronize this 99 whenever I’m in Waltham. And you should consider doing so too! (It is consistently so impressive that I’m cross-posting this review to others as well).
